GYRO – Billing, Refunds & Subscriptions Policy

This Billing, Refunds & Subscriptions Policy (“Policy”) explains how payments, renewals, refunds, and virtual items work within the GYRO mobile application operated by GYRO Team (“GYRO”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By purchasing a subscription or using our paid features, you agree to this Policy, our Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy.

1. Overview

GYRO offers both free and premium features.
Premium access is provided through in-app subscriptions and purchases processed exclusively by:

  • Apple App Store (for iOS users), or
  • Google Play Store (for Android users).

All billing is handled by these platforms under their respective terms of service.
GYRO does not directly store or process payment card data.

2. Subscription Plans

We offer the following subscription options:

All subscription tiers provide access to the same core premium features within GYRO.
However, the availability, frequency, and scope of premium quizzes, competitions, or features may vary or change over time at GYRO’s discretion.
GYRO does not guarantee the continuous availability or stability of any specific premium quiz, competition, or function.

The main difference between subscription plans lies in their duration and discounted pricing, not in the guaranteed quantity or performance of premium content.

2.1 Automatic Renewal

All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

2.2 Free Trials

From time to time, GYRO may offer free trial periods.
When the trial ends, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial expiration date.

3. Payments

  • Subscription prices are displayed in your local currency and may include applicable taxes (e.g. GST in Australia).
  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at the time of confirmation.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your payment method remains valid.

GYRO reserves the right to adjust pricing in the future, with prior notice. If a price increase applies, you will be notified in advance and can choose to cancel before the new rate takes effect.

4. Managing Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Apple users: via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or reportaproblem.apple.com
  • Google users: via Google Play → Profile → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions

Cancelling a subscription prevents future charges but does not automatically refund past payments.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 Apple App Store Refunds

Apple handles all refund requests for iOS users.
To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Apple’s refund decisions are final and outside GYRO’s control.

5.2 Google Play Refunds

Google may grant refunds within 48 hours of purchase.
After this period, contact GYRO at info@gyro.team for review.
If approved, refunds will be issued according to this Policy and local laws.

5.3 Refunds Required by Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if a service fails to meet acceptable quality, is not as described, or is unreasonably delayed.
Nothing in this Policy limits your statutory rights under the ACL.

5.4 Refund Exclusions

Refunds will not be granted if:

  • You simply change your mind;
  • You fail to cancel your subscription before renewal;
  • The issue arises from factors beyond GYRO’s control (e.g., internet failure, device incompatibility).

6. Knots (Virtual Points)

  • Knots (KN) are virtual items, not real money.
  • Knots may be earned, purchased, or received as part of a subscription or promotion.
  • They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
  • If a subscription or purchase is refunded, any Knots awarded with that transaction may be revoked.
  • Misuse, fraud, or attempts to sell Knots outside the platform may result in account termination.

7. Promotional Offers and Discounts

GYRO may occasionally offer promotional pricing, discounts, or coupon codes.
Each offer is valid only for the period stated and may be limited to specific regions or user groups.
Promotions cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

8. Taxes

All applicable taxes, duties, or levies (including GST) are included or added to the price as required by law.
You are responsible for any additional local taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.

9. Billing Disputes

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly:

  1. Review your payment history in the App Store or Google Play.
  2. If the issue persists, contact us at info@gyro.team  with your transaction ID.
    We aim to respond to billing inquiries within 14 business days.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. If changes materially affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you via email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of GYRO after such notice means you accept the updated terms.
