GYRO – Billing, Refunds & Subscriptions Policy
This Billing, Refunds & Subscriptions Policy (“Policy”) explains how payments, renewals, refunds, and virtual items operate within the GYRO mobile application, operated by GYRO Team (“GYRO”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By purchasing a subscription or using any paid features, you agree to this Policy, our Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy.
1. Overview
GYRO offers both free and premium features.
All payments and subscriptions are processed securely by:
- Apple App Store (for iOS users), or
- Google Play Store (for Android users).
GYRO does not directly store or process any payment card or billing data.
2. Subscription Plans
GYRO offers premium access through one-time subscription purchases available for different durations (1-month, 3-month, or 12-month).
Each plan grants access to the same core premium features within the app.
The main difference between plans is duration and discounted pricing, not functionality.
GYRO may adjust, replace, or discontinue premium quizzes, competitions, or functions at its discretion to improve the user experience.
2.1 Free Trial
When a new user registers in the GYRO app, they automatically receive a 14-day free Platinum subscription.
No payment or card details are required to start the trial period.
After 14 days, the subscription ends automatically and does not renew.
Users will receive an in-app notification and email reminder inviting them to manually purchase or renew their preferred plan through the App Store or Google Play.
3. Payments
All prices are displayed in your local currency and include applicable taxes (e.g., GST in Australia). Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at the time of purchase. GYRO does not collect or store your payment information.
If subscription prices change in the future, users will be notified in advance and may choose whether to renew under the new rate.
4. Managing Your Subscription
You can manage or cancel your GYRO subscription at any time via:
- Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google: Google Play → Profile → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions
Cancelling a subscription prevents future charges but does not automatically issue a refund for prior payments.
5. Refund Policy
5.1 Apple App Store Refunds
Apple handles all refund requests for iOS users.
To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Apple’s refund decisions are final and outside GYRO’s control.
5.2 Google Play Refunds
Google may grant refunds within 48 hours of purchase.
After this period, you may contact GYRO at info@gyro.team for review.
If approved, the refund will be processed in accordance with this Policy and local consumer laws.
5.3 Refunds Required by Law
Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if a service fails to meet acceptable quality, is not as described, or is unreasonably delayed. Nothing in this Policy limits your statutory rights under the ACL.
5.4 Refund Exclusions
Refunds are not provided if:
- You change your mind;
- You fail to cancel your subscription before renewal;
- The issue arises from factors beyond GYRO’s control (e.g., internet failure, device incompatibility).
6. Knots (Virtual Points)
“Knots” (KN) are GYRO’s internal virtual points used to access quizzes, compete, and redeem partner offers.
Knots are not real currency, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged or transferred outside the app.
If a purchase or subscription that awarded Knots is refunded, the associated Knots may be revoked.
Any misuse, fraud, or attempt to sell Knots externally may result in account termination.
7. Promotional Offers and Discounts
GYROmay occasionally offer promotional pricing, discounts, or coupon codes.
Each offer is valid only during the specified period and may be limited tocertain regions or user groups.
Promotions cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
8. Taxes
All applicable taxes (including GST) are included or added as required by law.
You are responsible for any additional local taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.
9. Billing Disputes
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly:
- Review your transaction history in the App Store or Google Play.
- If the issue persists, contact us at info@gyro.team with your transaction ID.
We aim to respond to all billing inquirieswithin 14 business days.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time.
If any material changes affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you via email or in-app message.
Continued use of GYRO after notice means you accept the updated Policy.
